Kalamazoo County Fair ground and Expo Center this weekend. Sept 14 , 15 , 16. Dad and I are normally behind Arbys on Cork street on Friday and Saturday nights.

Karen and I went to visit Addison at Motts Children Hospital yesterday afternoon in Ann Arbor, counted 87 cars not including trailer queens from Mattawan to Ann Arbor. Then on the way home in the rain and dark cruised the Motels off Sprinkle Rd. saw a bunch more. As it stands now breakfast all depends if Addy is released from the hospital before then (maybe today??)

I went this morning, just got home. I saw, 6 VW's a white 69', a sea foam 57', two Hot VW cars both chop topped and highly custom, and two V8 powered Vws one 53 split, and the other a fasty. In the swap I saw 2 baja kits(way over priced), pans and reinforcement rail for a early vert, bumpers(early), a 1600cc dual port(again way overpriced). Talked to the guy with the narrow eyed kit and he told me was orginal hand layed VW kit NOS???(asking price $1000.  ) didn't argue with him just shook my head and walked away(fast). A set of wide cookie cutter wheels(polished). an autostick starter NOS, (again way expensive). Bought some metric wrenchs(craftsman) cheap. My legs are ready to fall off, I think? I plan on going back tomorrow, though. Anyone else? |

I went but couldn't find a parking spot close enough for my wife. her arthritis pain has really been bad.
