After three broken throttle cables I finally figured it out. The wire (fused) from the battery to the coil, came apart and shorted out on the cable, burnt it through. I thought it was funny(no pun at the time) the cable broke in the exact same spot all three times, I'm not sure if the cable shorted it out or when the cable made contact with the tube through the shroud it shorted at that point. I thought it was rubbing against something. Any way it caught me rubbing my head on the side of the road and tieing boot laces together with tenny laces thread through the back of the engine compartment, under the top and tyed to emerency brake handle for the throttle to get home. I learned that trick from my buggy days. Hope this might help. Later Kenn

Wow, Thats interesting that it would burn all the way through the throttle cable.

I've heard of having a similar problem when the ground strap by the front motor mount fails. Makes sense, but I've never actually seen it happen.

Save boot laces tied to tenny laces to a coat hanger I'd been walking. I also found that cables range in price from $3.00 to $9.98 depending how dispreate you are. Later Kenn

Niether can I, We had such a hoot last time hope we convince others to join in on the fun. When do you want me to set it up just let me know, TJ and Poppa stopped in the other night and raced around for an hour or so(until Poppa ran out of money) I talked to Brandon and he said to let him know about a week inadvance so he can reserve us parking. You said something about a Sept. meet what date were ya thinking? It seems the calender fills or so fast. Later Kenn

Kenn strongly acknowledges the rubbin is racing rule. Look out! Im sure you will fit Glen just keep your foot away from that stupid red pedal.
