It is official! There will be two Bug Run's in 2009 at US 131 Motorsports Park, Martin, MI. Spring event is set for Saturday May 30th. Fall event will be Sunday August 30th. This is fantastic that US 131 is doing this for our hobby again this year. Now we need to do our part and promote these events. Start getting the word out! Free Swap Meet Space

I would think the August date would fare better since October could be bad weather or good since we had great weather for our Test N Tune. But the chances of bad weather are greater in October

The Grand Rapids Metro Cruise is at the end of August not sure when exactly might be something to look into. It draws a good crowd wouldn't want to compete with that.

Did you see the Spring Bug Run mentioned in Hot VW's? There was a letter written asking about drag race events. The Bug Run was listed as one to see!
I hope we keep getting good press like that. I really hope these Bug Run's grow and continue for many years.

I really hope this show grows to be that can't miss show with people all lined up to get in and we fill up the whole facility. It has the potential.

I agree, no reason why it can't be, I remember when Milan was small it took a few years and alot of press to make it grow. The first year I showed was with the Baja so it must have been the late 70's or the early 80's, there were only nine bugs, three buses, a double cab and one baja. Later Kenn
