I get lots of air (cold air) leaking in through the fuse box. I don't have a cover for my fuse box. Does anyone have one on their car? I am wondering if it will stop the cold air from coming in? Do they stay on well?

I have the same problem, it sure makes for a chilly ride. If you come up with anything let us know.

Bren I have a cover for a 69 Ghia It may not fit. I know in the Ghia world a bad front lid seal will cause air leaking into the cabin through the dash. How well does you front lid seal?

Jerry, how is your seal? As Dustin said mine is missing and has other misalignment issues I put a wiring cover in my car but it did not change much. I was hoping it would but no such luck.

That seal is not too expensive. I plan to put mine in after I try to straighten the front of the car. AJ, is your cover for a 10 fuse box? If so could I try it out? If it does not seal out the weather I might try to make something. Something reversible would be best.

I can let you try it when ever I see you again. I will look for the cover this evening while cleaning my garage more.
I am not the body guy. My suggestion is to just graft a front clip on.
Sorry about the cheep shots I was in a weird mood last night.

My Dad always said if you are getting picked on it means you are liked. I will go with that. I would graft on original metal if I could find it. Otherwise I would rather try to straighten the original stuff. I will have to put in a new 'floor' though. It will be fun to try my had at fixing this with the porta power.

Well, I got one from Jeff today. Very inexpensive, could not pass it up. Seemed to be in reasonable condition though it was in a vert with no top, go figure. Not sure when I will get to testing it to see if it helps keep the cold out though.

Why don't you just duct tape up all the holes? And remember, nothing says poor workmanship like wrinkles in the duct tape. (quote from Wrongway in the Louisiana Aircoolers.)

Actually, I used some of that rope caulk stuff in some holes. Seemed to help. Sort of looks like seam sealer when you press it in only less permanent. Yesterday I worked on straightening the nose of the car. In only an hour I made big improvements. Looking forward to finding more time to finish the job.
