I saw a couple John Kouw cars in the photo set. He's a cool guy and does great work.

In the hunnert car pileup photo set. Sorry, John builds custom cars, rods and restores them as well. He built a rat rod called the 'Mad Kouw'. His shop is in west Michigan, called Cruisin' Customs. Here is a link to his website, www.cruisincustoms.com/HotRods/tabid/61/Default.aspx

You have plans for a 50's Hemi? What are they? Are you the only one in your club with a cool rod?

That would look tits in my Hup. I had a flathead 8, but it needed to much so I sold it at the hunnert 3 years ago. Im interested in just about anything cool with wheels, or a motor. There are people with other types of cool cars in the club, cant remember off hand but their around.

Looks like the '61 is going bye bye, trading it for a vert w decklid, deal not donejust yet though. I am keeping some parts. Its going to be converted to a split, with a og roof clip. Before anyone goes hostile on me, the car isnt in the best of shape, and I dont have the time for it, its worse off than I first thought, and I got enough projects. I have my reservations about that also, but I cant save them all. So please reserve judgement. Besides it gets me my decklid. The deck lid will go on the custom '63, which is now my current project till funds run out. Hopefully not before I get it driving. Speaking of which, go look in classifieds and buy my webers, so can buy more parts for the '63.

Sounds like the 63 custom will be cool with the new deck lid. Would you post some pics once you get the new lid on?

Cool, Have you posted the 63 custom in the member's project section yet? It would be cool to see some more progress pics, especially on all the custom touches of the car.

Will do. Its exciting, I havent touched any of my cars in about 5 months. So with winter coming and hopefully less things to do, hopefully I can get a car driving before spring. I havent had a fun vehicle to drive for just over 3 years, its killing me.

Whats up guys, havent been around much, havent done much with my bug, but Im back on it now at a slow pace. Would realy like to get it driving for this spring. I took a break from major projects (got burnt out). And traded my '26 Hupmobile roadster pickup for a '63 Corvair van. And just enjoyed driving it over the summer. Of course there was some work to do to it, getting it up to par and repairs here and there. But just realy just had fun. Also picked up a '67 Apache pop up camper to tow with the van. Heres my members rides thread on Corvairforum.com www.corvairforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=362I will try to stop by more often, as you guys are a fun group to speak with and hang out with, and also knowledgeable. Not to mention a good parts source/crowd to sell to as your not to far away. Kevin
