You can pick up nice cobalt bits at Production Tool.
There are a number of them in Michigan.

Although more expensive still carbide drill bits will do a better job run slow/medium speed and let the bit do the cutting (don't force it). They will cut anything no matter how hard, if it can be drilled, carbide will do the job. Most any Industrial Suppy Co. should have them.

Sorry for the delay.
Carbide is optimal, and would be great. I'm thinking two sizes, 3/16' & 5/16". If only one; I'd get the 5/16". Thanks

Ray, Thanks to you sending me the 'Bug Me' videos I managed to tear down my engine and found what was wrong in there. One of my pistons was shot... So I put new ones in with new cylinders and glued everything back together. The heads looked like they were still alright. I started it up yesterday and no leak! And it ran pretty darn good too! With that being said I don't think I'm going to be bringing it down with me. thanks! -Nick

Nick, glad to hear you fixed the leak. Hope you can still make it. I think you'll have a good time meeting other members and watching/helping out with some of the work. Or, maybe you have something else to wrench on.

Look forward to seeing everyone. For those bringing cars or something to work on; please bring the parts you think you'll need. There's parts stores open in Paw Paw, Portage & Kalamazoo also.
I'll have sloppy joes, chips & soft drinks. Please bring a dish to pass if you think of it.
PM me if you need the address or help with directions. I'll park my bug out at the end of the driveway for those that haven't been here before.
Thanks again

Ray - I mentioned before about bringing my brake drums. I just got the front ones off yesterday and they look pretty darn good. The drums are 5 lug and have studs installed in the original threaded holes. Will these mount ok on your machine or will I have to remove the studs?
