Costa Rica: See the oldest son & family, who have been gone since Aug. 2011. March Chicago: Greet our newest Grand son. ;D April/May Atlanta: Baby sit for the 2 Grand daughters until mommy is finished teaching & daddy is out of school. ;D June Goshen: Recuperate from January thru May. ;D ;D ;D

Looks like we might have a broken lower torsion bolt to remove. Haven't heard of anything else. You don't have to bring anything to work on, but if you do; please let us know what you're thinking.
Just a reminder; not many shops can high speed balance 5x205 rims. This would be a great opportunity.

I need to lower the back of my bug. So far I've been to chicken to do it. If I showed up, would someone be willing to talk me through it? Or is that too big a job for a tech session

I'll be bringing my engine down.. It's pretty leaky so hopefully you guys can lead me in the right direction with it. Does anyone have a test stand they could bring so I could run it? Thanks guys, Nick

Haven't lowered the rear by indexing the torsion bar by one spline, but shouldn't be a problem.
Nick, good to hear you'll be bringing your engine. Don't forget the gaskets and parts you want to replace.
Does anyone have an engine test stand we could borrow?

Does anyone have an engine test stand we could borrow? I have one but I have a motor on it. I might have a bus starter that we could use.

Ray - can I bring 4 brake drums for turning. I'll be doing the brake job at home since I don't have an engine in the car.

Steven, if you have a bus starter; please bring it - Thanks. I have a small portable fuel tank (for motorcycles, should flow enough)
Brian, no problem turning the drums.

Thanks Ray. I'm looking forward to the Tech Session. It sounds like a wide variety of projects to be worked on.

If it's ok with you guys, after the broke beam bolt is is replaced, think we could double check my rear drum adjustment and maybe bleed my brakes again? Maybe? I've never bled dual piston calipers (with 2 bleeders) and even though I have awesome pedal now, they still feel sort of "squishy" to me. Better safe than sorry

I don't see a problem bleeding the brakes. Hopefully the broken bolt won't be too much of a problem.
Does anyone one have cobalt drill bits. I have an offset drill motor, but I'm afraid my drill bits won't work on the broken bolt?

Ray - where can Cobalt bits be purchased at? I know the high dollar ones at my local TSC aren't that great, and can't remember if they were anything but steel to begin with. I'll buy the bit if nobody has one we can borrow.....what size(s) we looking at?
