Update 3/4/12 . April 22nd is the next Tech Session Noon til 8pm I'll have water, soft drinks coffee & sloppy joes Please bring a snack or dish to pass (if you can) Bring something to work on or just come for the fun of it. PM or email me if you need directions
Thanks, Ray ----------------------------------------------------------- Original Post
Thought I would see if there's interest in having a Tech Session in April.
Here's a list of things we can do. - Oil changes - Transmission gear oil change - Valve adjustments (need to let engine cool) - High speed wheel balancing (have the adapter for 5x205) - Electrical repairs - Misc welding - Cable replacements - S/B strut replacements - Brake work - including turning drums
I'm sure I left some out. As in the past; there's no charge for helping out, just bring what parts you think you'll need. Also, please keep in mind that your vehicle needs to go home at the end of the day (I can't store em). This hasn't been a problem in the past.

Sounds GREAT to me. When in April ? I'd like to be at a session this year. Traveling seems to be scheduled at the same time as GV events.

Test and tunes every Saturday in April at US131 so a Sunday is better for the 'racers'.

I was thinking of Sunday the 22nd. Start at noon, finish up around 8pm.
As in the past; I'll have soft drinks, water, coffee and probably sloppy joes or some main dish. I'd be great if others could bring a dish to pass.
Thanks

Sounds great. Thanks Ray. I'll be there if I don't have to work.

Hi Rick, I waited a while to see how flexible the date can be. Unfortunately; the 22nd seems to be the best date for me. Hope you can somehow make it over. Thanks

Got to see if patrick has that spiffy new trailer beforehand and wants to drag my bug over. It has a broken beam bolt that needs taken out, if you guys are interested in tackling it? The beam would have to be pulled back off, as it's on there now of course, with just 3 bolts holding it on. The broken piece of bolt is inside the hole a tad....not able to grab it with anything

Looking forward to this Ray. Thanks for doing this. I have nothing to work on as of now. Probably will by then though. Bren

If you have something to weld; bring it along.
Maybe you never used a mig welder, but always wondered what it would be like or just wish to hone your skills. I've got scrap steel here or bring some with you.
(I've got some 3" pipe begging to be someone's bench grinder stand or anything else you can think of)

Spoke with Paul (Pikeman) today. He mentioned he'll be attending and would assist with valve grinding. So, bring your cleaned up heads and we can inspect them and grind them. Good opportunity to learn a new skill & save $$$ .
