just got home. nice to meet rick and another gv member but i didnt get his name  better show than last year. not as much flea market stuff that dont belong. crowd was normal. couldnt get near the cool kids tables dont really bother wiht those anyway. had a good time. thanks again vwrick! gonna start pulling my engine for the trans swap tonight  |

Thanks to all that came out today.
I feel it was a very successful day. I really enjoy doing this event.
Seems it is a win-win. Good shopping opportunities and great opportunity to promote the bug runs and the club.
I felt we had a positive response. Seems to me there is much more excitement about the racing this year. (not just from me.) We confirmed that Dune TV will be out to film the bug run! Great opportunity.
My purchase of the day: used cheater slicks for the '64. Bought them from Steve (last name?). He races with the Underdog car of Prescott Phillips. He told me they plan to be at the bug run this year.

I got a COOL! shop light/trouble light (going to use it for camping) at least that's what I told Karen) Waited until the very end and got a deal on a floor model, the guy selling them tried to break it all day, It will probably break in 5 mins for me. A couple of Thing toys, bought some oil change kits from some shady character, renewed my subscription to Hot VW. Looked for somethings I didn't find but all in all a good day at a swap, who could ask for more???

I picked up a stat (Thanks Mike), set of rocker arm assemblies, new tail light gaskets, generator pulley w/shims, some small brushes & a set of hole punches.
Had a good time, and would agree with Bren; there's definitely more interest with drag racing.

Hmmm. I bought an aluminum beam, set of floor pans, and renewed my subscription for Hot VW. Great time today, and good friends ( even tho someone forgot his pink To-To ;D ) . Thanks to Pikeman ( Paul ) for bringing my floor pans home for me. |

I gotta westy table, some oil change gaskets, a cool light bulb holder, a cool cut out of a bay window van{for the wife}, and a pocket full of cash!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I put some new faces to some names, great seeing you ALL today. It was a VERY long day, we were in line by 2:50 am.
