I decided that right now a restoration project is just not going to happen - too many other things to do. So thanks to TheGoodVolks add I saw (and Samba), John, Bren, and I took a road trip to St. Joe on Monday and picked up my new ride that doesn't need restoring - a 1973 Super Beetle Sports Bug Edition. It has some flaws, but for the money and what I need, I couldn't pass it up. About 42000 miles, replacement motor, mostly original though it has been repainted, very solid from what I can see. Last owners had it since 1988. I'm really looking forward to having some fun with this car this year. I'll be selling off my 74 project and parts car along with some other parts I really don't need (that was part of the deal with the wife.)

My latest and possibly...last project. Couldn't let this 66 vert go to the trash. Will receive a 2332 turbo motor. Painted it in my driveway with a $15 harbor freight gun...actually best gun I've ever used. Not perfect, but ok for me.
