Hey Jerry, Welcome to the Good Volks! Nice car. I love the stance. How narrow is that beam? Did you use drop spindles or adjusters?

I should have kept that beam. Its a 4" narrowed with adjusters. And it still retains the shock towers, with welds to support everything.

Thanks for all the kind words. I was lucky enough to get it with all the hard work, paint and body, done for me. When my wife and I were living in az I was daily driving a 67' baja, rear seat was removed for the fuel cell. We were expecting our son so the baja had to go due to the fact that there wasn't anywhere for the car seat. I found a local guy that bought this car off of an older later that had owned it for many years but was tired of the upkeep, so she parked it for about three years, right after she had it repainted. The deal was made and I couldn't be happier. The beam is actually 3'' narrowed, we thought it was 4 at first but it measured out to 3. Any narrower and you have to go with link pin style shock towers. I don't feel shock towers are necessary because I don't run shocks and it ride fine. I have drop spindles and I cant crank the beam all the way down because the tires rub the outer fender at full turn, so I'm sure if there necessary. Any word on gtg closer to grand rapids?

We wont be having a GTG in the Grand Rapids area until September or so. We just finished up having a bunch of GTG's in Grand Rapids, Holland, South Haven, Allegan. Now we will be in Battle Creek then Mattawan. I also fixed your first post so the pictures show.
