a mid winter pic with the lights and front fenders on after doing a little snow playing. ;D

picked up a 3 rib today at the buggy show and a baja exhaust. its going back in the barn to get torn down again. new pistons and cylinders while im at it.

yes, he had two, i got the one with the larger s.t. on it
got my trans from him too. good guy!

gotta get this thing out of my way first. kid is swapping out the drivetrain. i told him he needs to have it done TODAY or its going outside so i can work on my beetle.

tore the engine down today for the new p and c and started cleaning it. found a bent push rod. still ran great though. wierd

looks like i might have to find a set of heads or get mine redone i can wiggle one of the valve stems slightly by grabing the spring and pushing side to side

the pile of parts is growing.
picked up all the engine stuff last night. tuneup, pushrod tubes, gaskets, p/c set.

trans is coming out of the car now to get prepped for the 3 rib. this weekend is going to be a busy one

dammit. stripped a spark plug today. putting new ones in old one came out hard. new one never tightend. grrr.. might try a heli coil.
was looking at a newer set of heads at the bugbarn the other night.

yes. i was gonna try to get another summer out of them. bummer. its all together. was puttin the plugs and wires on getting ready to go in the car.

quieter than my old one, i thought the noise was due to lack of
any sound deadener. screamin at 60mph. just what i was after.
