It's an Allstate one wheel trailer, sold by Sears and Robuck, 40s,50s, and 60s.  Went to HUGE auction in Grandville on sat the 1st, and bought ANOTHER Allstate trailer!!! This one is older, rougher, and wooden. Seen Dave there, not many VW items. I also bought four Honda CT 70s and one Ct 90. Rough and cheap the way I like it. |

Took the DC on a little ride to MIS carshow. I think the attendance was down from 2 YRS ago. A ton of NICE cars new and classic, over 500 in show. A light breeze and alot of sun. There was even a FEW other VWs in attendance. The DC won a TOP 100 award and a large trophy from a show sponsors best of show. I was VERY shocked as there were MANY NICE autos. The BEST part of the day was at the end of the show when we got to take 3 laps on the track!!!! That was FREAKIN' AWESOME, the DC got to 72 mph, only because the driver is a WUSS. We were able to hold the turns OK, but the front stretch was a bit hairier. We were able to PASS a couple autos, but GOT passed by a ton more . My buddy Jeff took a video of it, but ALOT of the language is NOT PG, but it is COOL and HILARIOUS. They only charged $5 extra for running the track and it goes to charity, It was WELL worth sitting there all day. And the DC ran flawless all day. Waiting in line to get on track the DC just purred the whole time. The H2O cooled cars overheated and stalled and had to be shut down.   |
