Wow Bren:
How do you sleep at night knowing the mayhem housed in your garage?
Looks great. Like the headlights.

Doing some test fitting with a 1600. Engine was a little high and off center in the engine bay. Think I have most of that sorted out now. Exhaust I have does not want to fit below the apron. Probably going to run no apron or decklid until I get that sorted. Was thinking about running the 1600 for a week or two but now that this is done: well, plans have changed! Test fitting the '67 on the newly updated trailer. New steel runners, spare mount, ramp mounts etc.

Love the photos Thanks! What about cutting the stinger, and rewelding it at a different angle? Or is the header too close to the apron?

Can't wait to see this on the track Saturday!
Apron fit looks ok to me. With solid mounts, the exhaust shouldn't be moving very much.

I guess I did a little false advertising above. That exhaust is with stock heater boxes and a merged exhaust with stinger. What I plan to run is a all ceramic merged exhaust. Unfortunately it is higher at the apron. The header hits. Needs about a two inch high cut out. I hope to have it all in tonight so more photos later....

I thought the flange for the stinger looked a little forward compared to most merged systems. You should run the heater boxes Never know when it might get cold and they'll give you more road hugging weight ;D ;D ;D

Thinking no apron or decklid for less weight! High exhaust will be good for wheelies!

I thought Aprons were for Housewife's ;D ;D ;D ;D Now that is funny. Lot's of progress tonight. Tomorrow I hope to have it completely ready to fire. Need to finish the breather lines and make the plug wires, etc. Need to find a better way to mount the oil filter. Not sure how yet. Could use a bracket that mounts to the exhaust studs but this is a thick flange exhaust and there is no room on the stud. Maybe I can back it out enough. New front tranny mount and some other adjusting and it is much closer to fitting under the apron. Thinking I might just modify this one and make it work.
