I'm looking to do a german look influence on my bug. Does anybody have any pics or website links that I can use? What I've got so far is BBS style wheels. I'd like to find some 2 or 3 inch wider stock look fenders, though.

I don't get it, half the pictures in that thread are chromed cars, thought german look was all dechromed.
Any description on what a german look should and shouldn't have?

Usually porsche fuchs wheels (or other racing style wheels) tucked under wide fenders. Most of the time lowered. They are usually 1303 supers. Sometimes but not always they have an air dam below the front bumper. Chrome is up to the owner, although it is common to paint the bumpers to match body color.

ah, ok now I can see the fender flares. It also looks like the stance has been widended to get the tires almost flush with the outside edge of the fenders.

www.germanlook.com Galleries, forums, tech articles, etc. I wanted to do this look with my Super but decided another route. Maybe I will someday with a different car. Also try www.superbeetlesonly.com as many of those users do that look to their cars as well.

What's the difference between a 1303 and a 1302? I was considering this also after talking to Rudy about autocrossing, I thought a German look would make a nice car for auto x.

1302 = 1971-72 Supers with Flat windshield 1303 = 73+ Supers with Curved windshield

Very cool bus. Dustin and Joe thanks for the links, it'll help me get some more ideas. It'll also give me a base line to work from, maybe I'll work up some sketches

No just the seats. A friend of mine has a set of Fuch wheels, but my chances of getting them are nill. The set of wheels that I have may be too large to use they're off a Vette. I also have 3 pairs of Keystone mags, each pair has a different offset.
