Revised-No problem with Gilmore show

I just heard on Fox 17 morning news that there is an air-cooled car show at Gilmore on JUNE 18. It was in a segment about things to do with Dad for Father's Day. I looked at the Gilmore website and they do indeed have an air-cooled car show listed for JUNE 18 and nothing listed for JULY 16 which is when we have it listed. Kenn-sounds like a phone call is in order to Gilmore.

We are to be part of "The Clubs" day at Gilmores July 16th, 2011 same as last year (trying to keep it simple). I don't why we weren't contacted sooner about this. I have plans so won't be going, if any one goes please give out flyers and spread the word about "OUR" coming events. Thanks Kenn

I'll try to get home from work in time to call Brenda tomorrow to straighten this out. we're in PEAK! Crazy season right now. Been working 12's six days a week haven't had time to do anything fun or not fun for that matter.

The air cooled show is in relation to the Kaiser museum they have. They want to exhibit air cooled technology beyond the Kaiser. They contacted the MVVC about this event but not us. Don't quite understand that....
So, as Kenn said, this is not our show this weekend.

Well I'm sorry I sent up a red flag about this, some of you already knew about this show this weekend and that it was not us. However, why aren't we on the their schedule for July 16? Even if its not just a GV day and there is some other collective name for that day (Club day/German Gathering), it should still be on the schedule-I don't get why they wouldn't do that.

Thank you Kenn for scheduling this and setting us straight - at least we are supposed to have a big tent that day! Steve and I will not be there, we have a family commitment, but I'm hoping for good weather for you all!

Just got off the phone with Brenda. OK! Why we aren't on the events list, because that is for judged shows only. Trying to keep it simple we decided to go with a non judged show? Making it a Gathering instead of a SHOW!!. WE ! are indeed on for the 16th of July as planned we will be sharing the grounds with 2 maybe 3 other clubs of different makes. Also have a tent(for a wedding) set up in OUR! area to use if we want. We can also have a cook out/potluck if we want. WE ARE ON THE CALENDAR!!! Just NOT! on the events listing. We are also invited to attend the air-cooled show this weekend, if we choose.

If there is no rain tomorrow morning we will be going to the Lansing Zoo show. If there is rain we will find something other to do.

cant make the Lansing event tomrrow, but I will be at the Gilmore Aircooled show tomorrow for a little bit at least with the Bug.
