I know this is late notice, but I figured that some of the SE michigan members might be interested in this, there is a Chile Fest on Belle Isle this Sunday from 12-5ish. To go is free, but I believe you have to pay for the food. I think a group is meeting in Flint first in the morning and then they will be in Royal Oak, Near the parking garage just follow all the VWs, at or before 10 am. From there they ( approx 90 or so VW) will be going to Belle Isle. I'll either be going in the project car, my friend's Type 3 fasty or in the 99 new beetle I'm driving right now. This event is hosted by one of the other Michigan VW forums. When its over I'll try and post some pictures, or put up a link to webshots so they can be viewed.

I went with some friends last year in our Waterpumpers. Its a good time over there and a few Aircooled usually show up.

The syncro and the caddy look pretty sick. I've always been a big fan of both of these, but the syncro's have too big of a price tag for me.

That Caddy is from GR. Joe Zeuww from MIVE built it and he works for German Auto.

The 914 looks clean I bet it's a blast to drive. Also the Renault would be cool too
