Are you going to be able to make it to the Bug Run next Sunday? With the car? Ill most likely make it to the bug run, but not with the car, or the other car  The beam is out in the 63 and im waiting on narrowing, the 412, no plate, no insurance, and its not running correctly yet. |

If you come to shows we can help you find the parts. My good friend John Hanson can pick parts out of a swap meet like nobody else I have ever met. Also Randy Townsend in Perry has 1 or 2 of these I think and last I remember typ3nut on here had some parts. Its so ugly its cool that's what I like about em. Now just slam it with some wheels and maybe a stroker motor to be different. It would get some serious attention for sure.

After a little more inspection and lots of trying to turn it over no luck. Instead of looking everything over I just trusted the PO and thouht it was fuel related. Fuel is fine, just some old lines. After a closer look Wiring harness is melted ,injectors, one plug wire is also melted. I think I'm just going to look for the dual solex and do away with the FI stuff.

I might see if I could find out what was wrong with the FI first. The car was designed around FI, and the auto trans is hard to make work smoothly without FI.

If you need a FI type 4 wiring harness, I have one from a bus that may be close???

You also may be able to get the wiring and parts you need from 1 of 2 junkyards that come to mind. Barnums in Millington and an old vw shop in South Haven that has a ton of cars laying around in the woods. We were lucky enough to check em out a while back thanks to Glen(southpaw)
If it were me I would swap a manual in there and build a stroker motor and blow peoples doors off for the fun of it.
