Would it be easier to transport with a trailer?

Yes but I don't own a trailer only a tow bar. Steven and Kenn may have access to a trailer.
We still need to check with John W. before we go to crazy.

Food at George's: I talked to George today. We thought it would be easiest if everyone brought their own pop/water. He has a fridge in the shop. If you bring your own 20oz bottles we won't need to bother with cups and ice. Trying to keep it simple. Once everyone is there we will take up a food collection and get some chips and as many pizza's as we can with the money. Again, trying to keep it simple, convenient, and cost free for George. I hope this sounds good to everyone!

Sounds good for me. I will be there to lend a hand and buy some parts.
I have not desided what I will be driving.
Will I need to bring tools?

Would not hurt to bring tools but George probably has everything.

No one needs to be towed at this time. John W. was having trans issues after the Color Tour. I just wondered if we should look at it during the Tech Session.

I'll be coming with the Ghia, don't think I need anything done really, just such a nice day for a drive. If we got the time I could use some help timing my engine. I just did it statically which seems to be working ok but the engine is running a little warm I think. I don't have all the timing gear yet.

Mike: Did you get any timing work done on your car? I did not read this until now, too late.
I did not end up working on Aki's car. Could someone summarize what was done on it here for Aki?

:)I want to thank everyone for a great time today. I had fun and learned alot from peaking over everyones shoulder and asking questions. From my mechanical expertise and watching George work on Aki's car the first thing he did was checked each cylinder for clearance/spacing and made a few adjustments then put the covers back on. Then he took out that screw Aki had put in at the pumpkin parade to adjust the idle and put the actual screw thats was to be in there back in. Then he got out his timing light and adjusted the carb so it would idle at just the right speed and made sure it was dead on for the timing. Those were my mechanical observations. John in Plainwell

I think it was an awsome turn out. I think some people even bought stuff from George to help his business. I will give my card to some one that can download the pics and put them up on here when I can. Steven

Thanks too all but especially AJ, Rudy and Glen for working on Ruffuss' gas gauge(It works) I alway thought it was the sending unit but AJ found the vibrator to be bad, replaced that and then both the gauges I thought were good weren't. Thanks to George and his used gauge everything is honkey dorrey. Anf work like a charm. A great turn-out, good food(Robins pumpkin roll ups were to kill for) great conversation, a chance to look over what George has to offer(nice shop) I believe we got a lot done on a many cars and had a good time doing it. I even got more cards(Thanks Rudy and Beth) to hand out of which two are already gone. Again THANKS TO GEORGE!!! and the whole crew it was a HOOT! Later Kenn

I want to thank everyone that tinkered with my car. Now it is running and lots of cool lights work! Most importantly the 'idiot' lights for the 'idiot' driver . This was a great idea. Good to hang out at Georges with all our VW friends. Get some work done, learn some new things, eat some good food, buy some parts. I think this too should turn into an annual event!
