pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MIKind of interesting how few stations have it. There's one on my way back to indiana and there's a few in MI. Have a look, I bet the old aircooled engines get better mileage on this gas.

Most Meijers at the MI/OH border area are 100%. The pumps are supposed to label the 10% ethanol by law if it contains it. I was thinking of going the other direction E85- Mostly alcohol with some gasoline. 102 octane, cooler running, cheaper as long as it is subsidized. But requires 20% more fuel/larger jets and it slightly caustic eating floats galvanized and other parts.

My Puma was designed to run on Ethanol and has a 9 to 1 compression ratio. It now has 40 IDFs, but it would be interesting to see how it was originally set up. From the factory it's supposed to be about 90 horsepower.
Brazil does their gas from sugar, and they are self-suficient.

Just down the road from me is a mom and pop gas station called Bob & Kays. When I first moved to my current location they carried ethanol free gas there pumps were marked. I would always fill up the GTI, Ghia and even the Blazer there. Each one of my vehicles got better fuel mileage and I loved it.
Since then they have switched to Shell Gas and no longer carry ethanol free gas.
Over last summer was down in Pennsylvania visiting my parents and I was telling them how well my VW's loved ethanol free gas and how I wished I could still get it. Then my father pipes up and says that just down the road is a gas station that carries ethanol free gas.
That was the best the Bus has run after I filled up. During the trip home I stopped a regular gas station and felt dirty pouring in ethanol fuel.

If Im not mistaken I think to run E85 you need to run bigger jets. If it was a real easy to set up kit Id do it but would have to keep the other jets on hand to use regular gas when E85 is not available in some cities.

in order to run E85 you also need to change all your rubber fuel lines as the ethanol will degrade the old ones quick. might have a problem with the fuel pump diaphram also if running a stock pump.

None of the stations I use in my area are on Ethanol
Speedway Mobile BP
Just got back from New Orleans, only 1 station I used on the way down and back had Ethanol and it was in the corn belt about halfway through Illinois.
The worst mileage I got the whole trip was on the Ethanol tank. Dropped from 37 mpg to 30 mpg.
