We were trying to figure out what sounds better. Snowpocolypse or Snowmageddon.
Any thoughts?

I kind of like "snowmageddon" myself.
I'm kind of off today, but am available for questions. I am not certain I can get out of the neighborhood, we have about 15 inches of snow...but drifts on the deck and driveway were up to 25 inches this morning...slow going with the snow blower.

Well our parking lot at the apartment in saint joseph still hasn't been plowed. I have been outside for 5 hours shoveling the deep spots and exits and entrances by hand as well as helping people get their cars out of the lot. I think the count for me is around 12 cars. I am exhausted.

I'm off, but still working. Driveway was plowed by 9 am. Road wasn't plowed until noon. Helped 3 neighbors dig out. Piles next to the driveway as high as my head! One Jeep stuck in a drift in the middle of the road, took 45 minutes to get out. Parking lot at other end of road due to so many stuck cars. Ran out of room to put snow, starting piling it against the garage door!

I had to shovel just to get out the back door to feed the dog, then a 36" drift in front the garage service door. 1 3/4 hrs to snowblow the drive and it's a short one, then another 45 mins after the county truck went through and filled in the end of the drive(I think they plan that). We have 16" on the flat and drifts up to four foot next to the garage on the North side. Then helped the neighbor kids build a snow fort and slide off the pile of snow at the end of the drive(slide to the yard, not the street, they started doing it the other way, I said not on my property. Their Dad agreed.)

Went into the garage to get out the snow blower and the was 8" of snow on the back of the Bug and under the Bus. It blew in under and around the garage door. I do not like winter!

Yup, we had a drift up against our service over the knob. The snow also blew in under both garage doors. I spent 1 hr shoveling the drive enough to pull the car out onto that spot. Then I got fed up with hand shoveling and started the old snow blower. She is old and tired and did not like starting. But she started. Then I did my drive and 5 of the other neighbors drives. I started at 5:00 am and finished at 10:30 am. I'm tired. Thanks Dave T

You all make me feel lazy! I got out off bed at 1:30pm. Been sitting on my butt until a few minutes ago. I could smell natural gas exhuast in the house. Short story is a snow drift on north side of the house covered the vent for the water heater. My wife and I were lightheaded for a bit, snowmagedden was trying to take us out! My drive doesn't look too bad. Its about 60 feet long, only 10 feet is drifted to around 2 feet deep and the rest is just a few inches.

>:(I live in Plainwell but work in Kentwood GR area. Of course our whole building was closed but we had to be there for our work. I got up at 3:45am to snowblow the driveway. Just saw one track going north of someone that went before me. I had to be there at 6:30am. I headed out in our Minivan" (Ya...good car for a blizzard) and got as far as Gun lake and got stopped in my tracks. Got out with the wind blowing and started digging. 9 4x4s went by with a plow all went right on by except one. He stopped and asked if I was stuck? Then took off. After digging a while I was just about to get out and a county truck came by and put a snowbank as high as my waist back in front of my van. So that took another 30 minutes of digging. I could not feel my feet after I was done. I just went back home for the day. Never again. John in Plainwell

I called in to work to tell them I was stuck in my driveway. After a couple of hours or so cleaning my driveway with snowblower, I took my second shower of the morning and headed to work. I arrived at work at the Power Plant three hours late. I no sooner took my coat off when my manager told me that all non-essential personnel were to be sent home (I was glad to be non-essential).
I made the best of the situation by taking my lovely wife sledding.

Well...first big snow living in Perry instead of East Lansing. Big difference in snow removal.
Got the driveway done by 10:30 or so this morning, but no way to get out, snow was just too high. Late this afternoon, someone went by and did one side of the street with some kind of big John Deere. Of course, then I had to move 25 inches of snow so I could actually get out of the driveway. Got out of the driveway, but had a heck of a time getting out of the neighborhood due to piled snow, but the Saturn finally pushed through...but I did need to get a pretty good head of steam going. Drove into Perry to pick up some onions and such for fresh French onion soup. Very warm and tasty!
Did the driveway and deck again, things are pretty good. Usually, it takes only a couple of hours before the house in EL was plowed. Obviously, I was used to that...
Should be better tomorrow, Dorothy has to drive Friday and spend the night to judge orchestras on Saturday. Hope things stay clear.

We survived snowmageddon just fine. Did something I don't recall doing before: I called in to work to say I wouldn't be there.
Finally had enough snow to really load the snowblower we got 2 yrs ago. Did the driveway and the neighbors in 1st gear taking about 1/3 to 1/2 the width and really got a lot of distance on the snow coming out of the chute. It was actually fun, since we didn't have to be anywhere. Got done around 10AM. Another neighbor's son came to plow him out and he opened up the road for everyone on our end of the subdivision around noon. Just vegged the rest of the day.
Suppose we will have to get back to life today
