Where do you guys shop online for odds and ends parts like transmission mounts, boots, bolts, clutch parts, etc.
CIP1 requires a 25$ min order and they're pretty slow. Other online stores like Marks Bug Barn charge exhorbitant shipping charges.
CIP1 seems to have the most complete selection of standard "not rare" items.
I've bought a few things locally at AutoZone but they can be twice the price of the online vendors for specialty items.

I use KGP&R Karmann Ghia Parts and Restoration out in Calfornia usually takes a few days for shipping.
Also House of Ghia out in Oregon is ran by one guy Mike Gregory he some times forgets orders and does not like to be reminded. When he does ship it usually comes in about 3 days.

I've had really good experiences with Aircooled.net ==> www.aircooled.netAlso, Wolfsburg West has a good reputation. I just placed an order for some bumper reinforcements from Wolfsburg--their pricing was good and they were quick to ship. There is always Mid America Motorworks--they usually have good inventory and service, but they can be pricey.

Mid America Motorworks has very nice employees and the owners are really nice but their prices have sky rocketed and their quality has gone through the floor. I usually use CIP because of their massive selection of parts and great prices. But I also like Wolfsburg West and sometimes I even order a few things from JC Whitney. Also Aircooled.net is pretty good. There are alot of suppliers out there and if you go to our homepage I have linked alot of them.

Best quality and service comes from Wolfsburg west in my opinion. Lately though I try to buy everything from Georges Hot VW's in Battle Creek, or Towns End in Perry, MI.

carpartstogo.com isn't a VW specific supplier, but they have a fair number of mechanical parts for our cars. They tell you the brand that you are getting, offer choices of brand, and ship quickly. The good stuff isn't cheap, but is a good value.
