With all the tech questions and people asking for help we decided it would probably be a good idea to have an annual Tech Session to help get some of those problems taken care of. We will plan 2 a year one spring one in the fall. I hope to start this year with a fall session but need to guage interest first and get a list going so we know what tools to bring and what parts you may need. We would like to hold this at Georges Hot VW's in Battle Creek so we have access to parts but this does not have to be the place every time. So everyone go ahead and list your issue.

I really don't have an issue with my car, but I am willing to lend a hand working on someone else's car. I can bring tools and spare parts.

I would definately participate. Right now I don't have a issue either. But, if my blue car is on the road I might need some engine tuning help. Otherwise I would be glad to help others where I can.

Sounds like fun and we might even learn something to boot. The only issue I have with ruffuss is he does want to start after he is warmed up(could just be operator era). How about helping with this troublesome problem? ?? Another thing not really a problem for me, but brake and valve adjustment should be done every 3 thousand miles on a VW and they can be a pain for someone not use to it. Tune-up for Aki?? Shock, ball joint, tie rod replacement ?? Front end alighment? Adjust clutch cable?? Window replacement the list goes on. I've always said a VWs is a tinkers toy cause you need to tinker with them end leasly. Later Kenn

Also, if my blue car is not done we can work on it if anyone wants to learn on it.

Yes, Kenn. I have plenty of work for you too! Come on over, it will be fun.
Dustin: I think we should set it up. Maybe coordinate with Aki for a full tune up. Maybe check with him.

yes his car could use quite a few things. We have to make sure it would be ok with George first and maybe we could make this the Tech Session/October GTG and see what happens? But we really need to get back around Holland and Grand Rapids with the GTG's really soon.

Also members may not want to admit that the have a problem with their Volkswagen. We could just use this time to tune up our own cars and bounce tips and ideas off each other like the best way to adjust valves or tips to adjust points. My favorite one in a pinch is to use a cereal box top for points adjustment if stranded.

We were just in Fennville. Doesn't that count as the Holland area? Either area is fine with me. I really like the drive from here across M-89, nice road, fun curves, and nice scenery.

Bren and Dustin, Thanks for your considerations. I'll take all your help and oportunities to learn about my Ghia and Bus. I just recieved a tune up kit for my Ghia. My problem is I 'll be out of the countrry from Oct 11 through 30th. I'm willing to take my Ghia anyplace, even week day after work. Please let me know.
Thank you all. Aki
