Historic Charlton Park 30th Annual Father's Day Show
8am - 5pm rain or shine. This event is sponsored by the Southern Michigan Street Rod Association. All cars must be 1990 or older & must be driven in under their own power, no trailered vehicles are allowed. Admission is Adults $5.00, Kids 5 - 12, $3.00 & age 4 & under free. Great Lakes Dragway
9 AM to about 3 PM.
When the Bugfest is winding down the Nitrous Street Cars take over the track for the rest of the day. People from the Bugfest were more than welcome to stay and watch.

West Michigan's "Grand Daddy" of antique, classic and special interest car shows, swap meets and car corral. Hundreds of cars displayed and for sale. Great family fun with food, vendors, antiques, swap meet, antique car rides and more.

GoodVolks Car Corral at Grattan Races
We will have the opportunity to have a GTG and park our VWs as a group at the vintage races at Grattan on 8/21/11. There is a small island on the pitside of the track and we will be able to park there as a group and fly our banner. This is a great opportunity to roam the pits and see a wide variety of sportscar racers from earlier years and enjoy the races from great vantage points. The schedule on Sundays usually ends mid afternoon for these events, but starts early.

Harsh Winters Volkswagen Club is holding a raffle for a rebuilt 1965 Sea Blau Volkswagen Beetle with all proceeds benefiting GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley, a Down syndrome awareness center. The winner of the Give Away will be announced on August 28, 2011 at Bug-A-Palooza 8 to be held at D’Arcy Volkswagen in Joliet, IL. Keep checking back for updates on the restoration progress and be sure to get your tickets for this great cause before time is up. A special thanks to all of the club members for their countless hours of work and companies who have donated parts.

The Greater Toledo Volkswagen Club presents the 20th Bugfest 2011 show.
from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM at Ed Schmidt Volkswagen 26875 N. Dixie Highway (Route 25) in Perrysburg, OH. Ed Schmidt is located a mile north of the Rte 25 exit off I475 (near the junction of I475 and I75) and south of I80. First and second place awards in fourteen show car classes. Dash plaques given to the first 100 show car registrants. Swap meet and car corral as well as food concession are also featured.
Admission: $2.00 for all/$5.00 per car.
Show car registration is $10.
Swap space 15¡¯ x 15¡¯ is $20.
Show car classes are: New Beetle, Bug to ¡®57, Bug ¡®58 to ¡®67, Bug ¡®68 & Up, Bug Vert, Bug Modified, Custom, Bus to ¡®67, Bus ¡®68 & Up, Water Cooled, Type 3/Type 4, Thing, Ghia, and Cosmetically Challenged.
For pre-registration of show cars or swappers: mail info details with fee to GTVWC 3711 Burroughs Dr. Toledo, OH 43614-4313. Show car registrants: send name, address, telephone and email address and vehicle make-model-year as well as show class. Swappers: send name address, telephone and email. Please note how many spaces at $20 each you need. We will confirm receipt for pre-registration. Deadline for receipt of pre-registering is Aug. 18, 2011.

We are having a car show for VW's and buggies at our shop in Millington on Sept. 25th from 10:00 to 3:00pm. Registration time is 8:30 to 10:00.
