Exhaust System Comparison

Never liked the sound of a stock VW exhaust and was disappointed that tuned exhaust systems were NOT widely available for my '74 yellow coupe with EGR.
When I got my '72 'vert with an aftermarket exhaust, I was still somewhat disappointed in the sound and performance. It just doesn't seem to have the same "oomph" (that's a technical automotive term) as the EMPI extractor setup I had on my '66 heap-many-moons-ago.
After looking through the catalogs and websites, I decided to create a you-tube video (and AUDIO!!) comparing various exhaust setups.
Right now, I have FOUR different exhaust systems available:
1) Stock setup on the yellow coupe
2) Unequalized header w/'quietpac' muffler on the blue vert
3) Equalized header w/glasspac bought at the South Haven swap meet, and
4) 'Monza' style exhaust on the 1600dp I bought from Erik Langer earlier this year.
...and by interchanging the 'quietpac' and 'glasspac' mufflers, I can come up now with a total of six different setups.
I started the other day by recording the sound of the current setup on the 'vert. Because of the unequalized tubing, you can hear the gases 'backing up' making it run a little unevenly (but NOT as bad as a stock muffler).
After swapping the 'quietpac' for the 'glasspac' the sound gets a little 'throatier' (that's another highly technical automotive term) but it's still just as uneven.
The next step (and the next film clip to make) will be to replace the unequalized header currently on the 'vert with the equalized, true extractor header I picked up at the South Haven meet. I will record this with both mufflers too!
I really don't wanna mess with removing and installing the 'Monza' setup from Erik's old motor, so will be bringing my video camera to Gilmore next Saturay. If you've got such a setup on your car, PLEASE look me up and let me record a few minutes of the sound. Likewise for anyone else who has something I don't have!

1 3/8 is what I run on my 1641, 1 5/8 on the 1915 & 2332,I'm looking for a 1 3/4--1 7/8 for the new 2276 so the Super Flows can vent ;D
