Dustin:
My Barnes & Noble sells VolkWorld for $8.95. I bought their discount card (our family buys a lot of books and magazines), which gives me a 10% discount on everything. Plus, it seems I get a couple of 15% off coupons a month from them, so my monthly purchase of VolksWorld becomes reasonable.
That B&N subscription is digital, correct? Can you print articles from the digital issue, or must you read it online only? I'd hate to have to take my laptop to the bathroom with me!
Ultra VW is out there too, but I prefer VolksWorld. Also, I learn new English words each month!

$8.95 still isn't as good as $28 for a year subscription on their site. I am going to get it. I also looked into Ultra VW since they said they offered group discounts but the it was way too expensive even with a discount. I liked Total VW as well but they aren't around anymore much like VW Trends. I posted on The Samba about getting a new American based VW Magazine going. I wonder how hard it would be.

Oh man I didn't even notice it was digital, I am no longer interested in it then, I can get all the digital coverage I want for free. Oh well looks like its back to a couple issues a year.

What do you think about attempting to get another VW Magazine going?

I think you can never have enough VW magazines!
While I enjoy the really nice cars featured in VolksWorld and HotVWs, I would like to see more articles for those of us on a budget. Not everyone has access to these terrific shops, or has the skills/craftsmanship to pull off some of the restos in these mags. I would like to see a magazine devoted to the "regualr guy."
As far as the digital edition of VolksWorld, I think I am going to try it. It looks like you can download the edition, and print as needed.

With that post a name popped into my head, Daily Drivers VW Magazine. It could have features of daily driven cars that the owners did most of the work on. But still have really nice cars in the event coverage. But how successful could it be I wonder? Let me know how the digital version works for you.

I am not sure about an address Kenn, They might give one once you add the subscription to your cart and go to the online checkout.

I used to buy volksworld too from the local newstand. I think that mag shines way above any us vw mags. But, the price got to me, too. Besides, they are starting to show the same feature cars that HVWs did and visa versa...a little insider trading going on. Now I just get HVWs...and Guitar World..yah!

I like to pick up Volksworld once in a while but I have noticed that as well, I would flip through the pages and recognize a car. Turns out it was just in Hot VW's same iwth the show coverage but I still like it alot. I want to pick up an issue of Ultra VW sometime to check it out. Also I have made some progress on a new VW Magazine! I have alot of details to work out but people are jumping on board.

A new mag would be cool, and like someone said previously, show some "real" rides, not all those rides that someone simply dished out thousands of dollars to have made for them. Very few people can, nor even would, do cars like that. Why does it seem like people from Cali have all this huge cash flow to spend on play things...maybe it's a different focus than us mid westerners.

Ya I am looking to create and online/print magazine that appeals to all cars. Drivers, Show, Race, Beaters, Baja's, Ghia's, Buses, Type3's, Type4's, Things, Bugs, Volksrods, etc. It will be kinda underground at first until we get some interest and gain steam. I have a few people that said they will take pictures and do writeups on shows and cars in their areas.
