One thing that they were adamant about was that they would not insure any Cobra, GT40, or any other car of that type. I guess losses on them are terrible, and I understand it can be virtually impossible to pay a reasonable rate for something like that. Very interesting discussion, Dave. Thank you for your input. The guy at Gilmore with the Yellow Cobra replica (he was selling for $31,000) said that virtually ALL Cobras you see on the road these days are replicas. Real ones (they only made 1,050 and of those, only 300+ had the 427) now go for $1,000,000 or more. Even Jay Leno drives a replica.
