Great news Dan, My dad checked the TomTom and looks like we can put the route in. I guess we will wait and see who is leading the crowd might be one of those last minute as we are leaving decisions.

Cool, I'm sureit will be a blast, I will startm making reservations and such monday I'll start shaking down the bug come spring. I really think she is ready but you never know till you log a few 3-4 hour trips.

I have just reserved my room to help everyone to get the discounted rate. I was able to reserve it without a credit card but after 6:00pm on Friday 6-5-09 the reservation is voided. So what time does everyone usually arrive Effingham to check in?

I just reserved 2 more rooms for my family. I asked if he knew how many rooms we had for a total under the Good Volks, but the clerk I talked to..Andrew, didnt know. We gotta be getting close to 10  |

We usually arrive around 3:30pm one year we got there at 3pm and last year I think it was around 4:30pm with our couple extra stops. We should have no problem getting there by 6pm

If everyone that has reserved a room(s) will PM me with their first and last names and number of rooms I will contact the hotel and get our reservations revised to the group rate.

Just made our reservation and asked how many of us had registered so far. He said "you are number 10 and I believe the rate goes down when you reach that number." He said he would advise someone in the office

I just called and confirmed with Andrew at Super 8. He agreed that we now have 11 rooms reserved. He will talk with the manager tomorrow and get us on the group rate.
If anyone calls after this make sure you ask for the Good Volks group rate!
I will check with him again in a few days to confirm that he indeed was able to get our rates reduced down to the group rate.
This is who I have so far:

1 Wilbur
1 Dunn
1 Hartman
1 Abbas
2 Barker
1 Bahnsen
1 Barnett.

I just called and talked to Andrew. He has not been able to talk to his manager yet but he is sure we will get the group rate. All we had to do was get 10 and we have done that. So, sign up and come join us.
