Funfest -or- Larry's -or- HW event

Looks like the majority of people are heading towards Larry's.

We don't know much about it but the rates were good. Rate is cheaper online vs. calling the hotel. Sounds like the rate is going up so reserve soon. So far the online rate is $35 plus tax.

I think we need to decide what we are doing the weekend of June 4-6.

Larry's Off Road Center's Nationals 2010 or Mid America Motorworks Funfest 2010 or Harshwinters new event?

Once we know who is going where we need someone to start working on getting hotel rates and coordinating the trip(s).

Michele and I will be at Galesburg, Ill attending our daughter's graduation from Knox college on June 5th. I may attend Fun Fest on June 6th for a short time (no promise).

I plan to do like we have for Effingham; go down on Friday and come home Sunday. I already scheduled Friday and Monday off from work. I will start researching room rates soon.

We need to decide as a club. Also if we do Larry's we need to get on getting rooms and such. This is getting pushed off as unimportant to the point I wont be able to get a room for either!!! Lets get on this and make a decision. !!

Beth and I are planning on Larry's. We have never been to there so it will be a new experience.

I'm torn, I've never been to Funfest, and I would like to support HW's, but, the racing is calling my name, so...I'm leaning towards Larry's. I've been to the show and swap at the Holiday Inn, but, never to the race. I do feel that having a presence at all three would be beneficial to the club, especially if we can hand out some flyers at each.

OK, I did some research the other day. This is the best rate I could find near Xenia for Larry's. $80 for two nights including tax. I am planning on going down Friday and coming home Sunday. I am not sure how nice it is or anything though. Never been to Xenia or surrounding areas. It is a gamble I suppose.

The knights in looks like a good deal and I checked some reviews and they all say would stay again so I put in a reservation. put in for vaca on the 4th and will probably work on nailing this down before the end of the week. Wondering how many will go with us, what meeting point to get together and if we want to do a strait 75 s. shot? if there are many of us we can just drive watever speed (or lack) as we want. Let em pass and stare. Ally is capible of doing 7omph all day long but I know others are not. Im game for any speed any rout as long as it doesnt add to much time to the rout. 75 is a nice clean shot though.

OK Dan. I will confirm with Marie tonight then book a room there as well. We can work out a route eventually. I looked and from here I69 is the main drag down. However, I know that is farther west for you. We can decide once we figure out who all is going with us.
