I might be crazy ;D; but, I am going to test and tune tomorrow. It is a midnight madness so maybe it will cool off some before the night is over. Anyone else coming to play?

I am planning on going. I've never been down a track, how does it work, cost and any saftey regs I have to comply with?

$25, cheaper if you come in after 8. Open car you have to wear a helmet and wrist straps. I have wrist straps you can burrow. Seat belt or harness required also obviously. To be safe I would recommend calling the track to confirm what they will require. Often depends upon your anticipated speeds. Oh, they like two return springs on the carbs too.

I don't have a helmet so I might not make it. Have to check the finances to see if I can get one. What are the wrist straps for?

Keeps your arms inside the car. I could let you burrow my helmet too if that is all that is keeping you from the track.

Thanks Bren, but I got a helmet from a guy at work as long as it fits. What do the straps attach to other than the wrists?

The straps attach to the seatbelt/harness. Designed so that they come free when you unbuckle so you can get out in a hurry if necessary.
