Put n Bay, or better referred to as Marti Gras of the north. I grew up in this area, and I always had such a good time at Put n Bay. Make sure to stop by the Longest Bar in the World, they usually have a guy their singing Pat Daley (I think thats his name) who is like a Jimmy Buffit style singer(good times).

Ok all is set for the event. If ANYONE could please get the banner to us for the parade that would be appreciated. This show/parade will be happening rain or shine. Looks like there aught to be 20 + cars alltogether. When you get to the show just say you are with the VW show and they should let you down to the river. We will have an area roped off for us there. Tonight Ill be there abought 6pm rain or shine as my Daughters are perforning the Maypole dance there. Saturday I work till 1pm but Cassie (oldest daughter) will be there to organize till I get there. You can show up early. I recommend chares and maybe a pagoda style tent if you have one. We will have more than two clubs in attendance by the look of it. Hope to see you there. MVVC cannot guarantee that they can get us their banner so I how we can have a nice yellow one!!
See ya there
Dan

Cool Cassie and I will probably walk the parade with the banner in yellow club shirts. Hey give Dave a yellow Medium shirt so she doesnt have to wear one of my 2xl Ill pay you at the next meeting. Was a nice day today we had Ally a 79 convertable and the wifes new beetle So we hade a type 1 a type 131 and a new beetle Hope we have a good turnout tomorrow as there was a lot of interest today. Remember just drive into the event and tall them you are at the car show at the river in the heritage park so they dont stop you at the first dirt lot. you want to go all the way as far as you can to the river then turn right and Cassie will guide you to the gate. Weather looks great for Sunday, so it looks like the Puma (a.k.a. The Pig of Plastic) gets to get out for the day.
Can we get into the car show if we arrive around 1:30 or so?
Looking forward to come out now that the P-O-P is all back together.

Look forward to seeing you. 1:30 is fine. It will be a great show. If you decide to come earlier you could drive the 79 convertable bug in the parade and Ill walk the banner in front of it with Cassie. Can you be there by noon??

Thanks Dan!
Thanks Dan for organizing the Frankenmuth event. Had a great time, Ally looked fantastic (and sounded fantastic) in the parade. Nice weather, and lots of folks looked over the cars at the park.
Lots of folks looked over the cars, and were impressed.
Only sour note of the day, didn't think about getting a chicken dinner until it was too late...

It was a blast. I want to thank everyone that showed up or helped. I think next year it will be much bigger (and there is plenty of room to grow). We were allready invited back.
