Frankenmuth all german event June 11- 13

Looking froward to seeing the Laser in person Mike. This event is a go. MVVC will start promoting it very soon, and by the sound of it very hard. I expect 20+ cars. I really see this event as a chance to expose our hobby to many people who whould be receptive to it but are not car guys. It is an old show (50 years this year) aught to be over 100,000 people at the parade. Will be news coverage.

Is a good opportunity to start a new yearly event at no cost to us. This is all hosted by the Bavarian Inn.

We get a roped off space, we get free entrence to the bavarian fest (usually 5 bucks to get into the pavillian) . There are carnavial rides for the kids and other carni stuff. It should be one hellova event. Im looking forward to being there and showing off our cool cars to possibly a new generation of kids/adults that dont usually get exposure to VW's

I'd be there but we are getting free weekend tickets for MIS from work and I have never been to a NASCAR race before so I am excited.

I have one thing to say hearing protection. MIS is neat, loud but neat never the less. Also make sure you wear a hat and pack some sun screen, last time I was there I fried.

Ok Just got off the phone with Marty and got all sorts of info I didnt have before. First off this is not a Bavarian Inn event (I assumed it was) We will actually be right in Heritage park right along the
river! (great location). So we are right in the middle of all the action (amusment rides, food, beer). Judy Zehnders Bug may not be in attendance! (we shall see, Im still in pester mode on this as I thought that was the original reason for the show). This is actually officially a Chamber of commerce event, not a Judy Zehnder event . I will have 30% coupons for Zehnders Resturant/ lodging and gift shops for all. Also we get into the "big tent" for free.

Finalized hours and days.

Friday June 11th : 6pm - whenever we get tired and want to leave.

Saturday June 12th : 12 noon - whenever we want to leave.

Sunday June 13th : Parade for two cars 12 pm - 1:30

Sunday June 13th : car show 2pm to whenever we want to leave

There will be media there.

We can set up a tent and I think it would be good to have a goodvolks Banner set up.

Instructions to get to Heritage park are as follows. Take Frankenmuth Main st to Weiss st (road at Bronners Christmas store). Follow Weiss st North till it dead ends at Heritage Park. Drive into the park to the back of the park at the river and there will be an area roped off for us there.

Sounds like it should'nt be to hard to find,I'm figering about 3hrs drive for me "IF" I drive the speed limit ;D ;D or the wife comes along ;D ;D ;D

Does the Puma qualify? It's Brazilian, not German.

Puma was partially owned by VW, and is still one of the few cars that VW actually supplied custom chassis for.

Who do we contact or RSVP, if your attending this Event ?
Are there dinner plans as a group, a B-cake ?... I like cake & ice cream.
I won't be able to attend in the morning Saturday but arriving around 1:30, can we still attend and get in the Park?...Looking forward to attending !...Let's hope for great weather and a good turnout of German Vehicles.

Come anytime you like. Really on Sat it doesnt even open till 12:00. Just say your in the VW show by the river. Then go back there like you own the place. We can all talk about dinner when we get there. There are no shortage of food places in Frankenmuth We will all have the 30% off coupons to Zehnders and if we eat at the Z chef Cafe its very reasonable.
