The timing still isn't right, it ran pretty good on the way home. Now it starts hard once its warm, so I'll keep tweaking and I'll get it right eventually. Thanks to AJ for your help I really appreciate it.

Are you sure the issue is timing? Could it be something with the carb? Have you tried a different distributor? I know the 009's vary alot, from what I read on the Samba. How new are your points, rotor, condenser, etc?

Everything else is new, my gaps are good. I'm not sure that its the timing, AJ thought it may be the carb. The only reason I thought it may be the timing was because it started hard once warm, but I'm no expert. It runs pretty good so I will probably leave it alone this year and mess with it over the winter. Nice car by the way, that thing is really clean.

Jerry
I am planning on rebuilding a spare 1500 carb and a vacuum and mechanical advance distributer for spares and tests. When I finish my little project I will be open for testing.

Thanks Jerry. I was really impressed with your car as well. I love the color and the stance. I hope my blue one turns out half as nice. Looks like AJ has you covered on the tuning. I am not very good at it.

I'm open for any ideas. Like I said it runs good but seems like it could be better. Again thanks for your help AJ.
