a few questions for those following my build -
1) which way does the firewall rubber get installed - with the "angle" down or up ??
2) does the wiper switch have a "plug" of wires like the turn signal switch or just a few individual wires ? I have my original harness, rewiring entire car, and it's cut into a few sections, but should be all there, and I found turn signal plug, but not wiper plug...? WTF
AND, YES, IN ALL CAPS, I NEED A IGNITION SWITCH HOUSING, NOT THE TUMBLER, NOT THE ELEC. PART, THE PART THAT TYPICALLY CRACKS WHEN YOU HAVE TO POP THE IGNITION WITH A SCREWDRIVER TO TURN / MOVE THE CAR WHEN YOU BREAK THE KEY...
it's part number 111 005 851N from a 73 Super...not sure what other years are same / compatible.... no luck from any of the Sambistas...lot of dead ends or people who can't read thinking I need the tumber or elec. part

It needs to go downward to contact the engine tin.2) does the wiper switch have a "plug" of wires like the turn signal switch or just a few individual wires ? He may be able to pull the assembly from one of his salvage cars. Or, you can go up and pull it yourself.

Thanks Bren... I also need a few of the front end large body bolts, etc. so might not be a bad idea for me to create a little wish list, and I'm sure there's got to be a few POS nobody wants Super's out there that I can pillage...

Still pushing forward... Gas tank modifications for turbo set-up completed. Still working on electrical, ready to put fluid in brake system... On a another note, I did what anybody frustrated with the time frame of building such a custom VW, bought a convertible Vette... Hoping the Super is just slightly faster off the line.. and for god sakes, somebody help me find a ignition switch housing... how many POS 73ish Supers are out there rotting away!!!!

I have a different one as well that I sent the part number about. They weren't the same number. I don't know interchanges between super stuff.
