and well, it's my car so.... Exactly! I ran the "wrong" hub caps on both of my other '67's because I liked them.

I agree with everybody! RETRO!
Frankly, I don't care for most modern wheels on old cars...a lot of the resto-mods leave me cold.
Yours is way too cool to mess up!

On to some real business....Spent a few hours at the engine / trans build shop - Petrucci Racing Engines...dropped off the trans to get started on w/ everything geared properly for the turbo, and got to spend some time with the 2110 Turbo parts....Yes I was sporting some wood.... The longblock with the Turbo exhaust manifold. The starboard head is completed, some machining left to do on the port head. Nice port work on the intake manifolds The Turbo w/ exhaust Parts!!! I borrowed a mock up trans and engine case to fit some parts, mainly the cooling fan. The engine is gonna generate a lot of HP which equals HEAT...

I like the way it looks in the last pic. I would keep the rims you have on it now.

I like the way it looks in the last pic. I would keep the rims you have on it now. I think you may be right ;D Door panels arrived today...still waiting on headliner, visors, and door grabs.. Now if I only had any wiring, air ride fully operational, brakes operational, and engine and trans...On another note, I'm heavily leaning back towards running Centerlines, but prob. all new. They just look bad ass on the car in person.

Um ..... Wow..... You can say that again! The Centerlines just look clean & mean. Not that the other rims don't clean..... they just don't look mean. If you go with the other rims I know who you can sell the Centerlines to

Centerlines will be for sale to make way for brand new ones...I need narrower fronts and the rears are very nice, but not nice enough...the downside of a project like this, everything has to be perfect...wish I was building a rat rod !!!
ETA = who the heck knows... Shooting for Woodward Cruise in August...

Not much progress on the Super...too much other stuff going on in the summer....yardwork, pool, sailboat racing..which = lots of drinking...but the engine and trans are in the works...and we're designing some pretty radical LED mood lighting for the interior, front trunk, and engine compartment. Later.

Hey Erik--shake a leg! I finished my car, so need another west wider to run with. Seriously, your car looks AWESOME. If we end up at the same car show, we can showcase the two extremes--mine being the "custom on a budget" version. Nicely done!

No prgress on the shell, been too busy, but the turbo motor is coming along. Everything is mocked up, waiting for fan shroud, then everything can be fit and then sent out for coatings.
