Or use the " running light " that is the head light.

I agree with Bren on the turn signals but behind the apron would not be bad either, Man this car is amazing I cannot wait to see it!!!! Oh, I thought you meant below the grill. I do like the idea of behind the grill. That or converting the running light to a turn signal sounds good. I would think putting on anything else would detract from the nice clean look of the car. I sure hope Hot VW's is watching this!

I agree with Bren and Steven...make the running lights the turn signals. It will be easy to do, no stray wires.
LOVE the child's seat in the back! It's great you thought of that. Never too young to share in the hobby!

I think the turn signals behind the grille would be cool, but if you're going for simplicity the running lights would get you there. I think it would be cool to see the grill blinking at intersections though

Thanks for the kind words guys...I'm leaning towards behind the louvers, 'cause it would be most original AND helps emphasize the fact that's it's a Super ;D.... The rollbar issue has already been corrected....'cause I don't like to let dust settle

I played with a lot of rubbers and lube today...LOL...All the window seals are cut / seamed very nicely, except for 1...front hood seal installed, that sucked, and the door seals have been cut and "fit" but have to be trimmed / modified a bit for the opposite swinging suicide doors...And I had to modify the rear seat bar to be able to move it forward almost 3/4" or the rear seat would not fit and everything fits nicely now..Freakin hairy scary swinging the seat around into place...and what the hell holds the lower kick plates in place ?? Waiting to install the carpet on the tunnel, and everything else is just fit into place. Now onto the door windows. and some progress on final installation of the air ride lines and a mount for fuse panel

"and what the hell holds the lower kick plates in place ??"
I believe it is just friction. Mine have always gone in tight and stayed in place.

Kinda been taking a break w/ the Super, catching up on yard work and been busy @ work. I did manage to throughly clean out the shop today, bought another shelf to organize hopefully soon to be installed parts, and threw some useless crap out. I'm ready to get back at it though.... I'm still debating on my choice of wheels. I'm going to either keep the centerlines, but prob. goto a 4" up front, or chrome stockies 15x4.5 front, 15x8 deepdish rear w/ smooth hubcaps, for kinda a retro look....

I like the retro look. What about using the deep dish type hub caps to tie into the oval era?

I agree Bren, and well, it's my car so....I've got a friend w/ some Type 3 wheels, which have a better offset which would tuck them in another 1" or so.

my vote is for the retro look. Ever since I saw your car on the samba a while ago, I fell in love with the concept drawing. $0.02
