We are all set for the meeting at Sam's Joint in Alaska on Jan 23rd at 5pm. She was not sure if she could get enough servers to put us upstairs, but would seat us all together in a downstairs area as an alternate. I told her 20 to 25 people.

It is not Grand Rapids but here are some thoughts.

Bren:
Which Essen Haus? There seem to be a number of them on the web.
Henry Ford would be cool, as would the Cord/Auburn?Dusenberg in Auburn, but I'm kind of thinking warm weather would be really cool for that one.

I'd like the stay with Grand Rapids as we have not gone there in a while.

OK, any GR ideas then? Are there any German restaurants there? That might be fun.

I might nominate one of the Russ' restaurants. There are several of them in the city, and I believe they have back rooms for larger parties.
Food is very good, prices are very reasonable, and the deserts are fantastic. The staff on the one on 285h street has always been nice.
Remember...never ask a skinny guy for recommendations about food...

That one was in GR. The Sam's Joint in Alaska is just east of M-37, so it might be more accessible to the bulk of the membership.

Haha always a joker Kenn, But I think he is talking about Alaska, Michigan. That sounds fine with me Rudy. Can we get a side or back room over there?
