Question is should we do one of these? George has tentatively offered to donate a car. We would need good tires and a tow bar assuming that is how we would move it around. And, we would need chalk paint. Is this a good idea? Is it worth doing? Where would we store it? How would we get it to and from our shows?

I like the idea and we would only need it at 1 show 3 tops. I would have to ask my parents about possible storage.

I like the idea too and I can donate a few $$ or a couple cans of paint. I don't have any storage room to store a chalk bug but I do have a truck.

If you guys have ever been to one of the shows where we have had a "Chalkie" you know how much fun the kids have with these things! Even some of the HW adults like to practice their "clean" graffiti! I'm sure that some one has a tow bar, and an empty spot behind their barn....

You can actually purchase special paint that turns any smooth surface into a chalkboard. I think I get a deal on it...I'll check when I get back home.

The windows on our Chalk-a-Bug above have been removed and sheet metal put in place for safety purposes. Running boards removed and sheet metal in place(flat surface with the door) so kids wont climb up on them. The engine removed and the swing arm plates moved a notch up to bring the car level again. No need towing the extra weight plus our engine was good. We did used spray chalk board paint to cover the car. It's doubles for storage also. Big Joe
