I don't think that a funny ha ha type name would be received vary well by those who have Leukemia or Lymphoma & their family's , the last thing on my list would be upset someone that we are trying to help .
My wife Kathy has had Lymphoma for going on 13 years and I am her care giver . No big thing to us , but others who have lost may think different .
On a lighter note , Thank for all the kind words about the Show but it was a team thing . I would like hear about any bad thing (by PM) if any and or thing you would like to maybe add next year . Again thank you everyone . Glen

I don't think a blood name is very good either we want something more cheerful and I agree with Glen lets not make light of a very serious disease. But your thinking so keep it up!

I'm truly sorry if I offended anyone, that was NOT my intention. I am NOT trying to make light of a very serious disease, quite the contrary, I was suggesting a "catchy name" that people will notice, which will bring them out to the show, which will raise more money. I spent over an hour on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's website researching the disease, because, as I stated before, I am not familiar with it and have never had to deal with it.

After seeing the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's logo, which is based around a drop of blood, I thought it would be an acceptable and effective angle to promote the show.
If you want a name that describes the show,
"The Goodvolks Annual Charity Car Show and Swap Meet"
It's to the point, non offensive, and judging by Sunday's turnout, it is effective.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

X3. We have a good descriptive name that may actually help with raising donations at the event. If anything were to change, it should be submitted to LLS for approval like this one was.

Geez, Patrick, I wasn't offended. I thought they were pretty good and I REALLY like the idea of a bloodmobile. Brilliant!

My Mother-in-law who had and died from Leukemia had/has a button that says simply "CANCER SUCKS" I like Patricks idea and agree the bloodmoble is an outstanding thought. Catchy is good! We could use both the charity and catchy name in the same breathe.

I talked to Andy Edge manager @ Village Market in South Haven . Told him thank you from all of us , and the subject of next year came up .
So to the GoodVolks of Michigan would you-all like to do the car show in South Haven next year ?
