First I want to say I think you did a great job putting this together. I think it is a great idea to start thinking about next year right now.
I think this has lots of potential. Look how big it was and we had only 2 non VW's. (Wonder what happened to the Porsche club?) I would love to see this be as big as the MadDog and Englishman show. Meaning, this as an annual show on Gilmore's calendar/schedule on it's own weekend.
My other thought is to keep it simple (big surprise there, right?). We as a club have lot's that we do. Lansing Show booth, 2 Bug Runs, the Show and Swap and now the German show. I think if we make this event too complicated we as a club could run out of steam and not make it all work. We could get in over our heads.
Maybe we can get another club involved to the point where they take the lead and we can participate and help.
Those are my thoughts.

I agree with Bren keep it simple and I would like to see this go on. I was bummed all day at work missing out on the show.

Other involved great idea! I'll contact Brenda today after work, see if she thinks it can be done. Do we try for the same date(weekend). Do we try for all us(German) and no some other brand clubs. It wasn't bad this year, having to share(I shared ,don't tell Karen). I would be glad to be the go to guy again, all I ask is input, ideas and help! We need to see some new faces in that category, some folks to step up, don't you think? Contact the other Michigan clubs as well as Indiana and Illinois? There sure is room to grow at Gilmores don't you think? Let me know your thoughts other wise I get all cranky and PO'ed. I don't have a problem expressing myself, try it you may like it.

Last year at the red barn at Gilmore the Porsche club expressed interest in doing something with us. We need to find them again this year and get contact info and try to get them involved. If they came this show would double next year.

Maybe there could be a "featured" marque each year and that club could assume the bulk of the work that year. Just a thought. Sure wish we could have been there  |
