Gilmore's German Gathering (Show) 2010'

I know it's not even 2010, but thought I'd get the ball rolling on this Show so we have a better chance of getting a date close to what we want.
Question#1 What July date works?? What time of day? All day? What time do we start, too allow others to drive at a decent time. Not too early or to late for the return trip.
#2 What clubs are we inviting, just air-cooled? Anything VW powered? Water pumpers also? do we invite all German Cars including but not limited to VW's, Porsche's, Buggy's(both tubs and rails), Volvo, Mercedes, ETC. Any others?
#3 How should we promote this event?
#4 If it's going to be a non-judged show, do we want to think about goody bags of sort? Who is willing to set it up?(bags). Who do we contact for sponsorship for prizes/ goodys?
#5 Who is willing to help, I don't have a cell phone or long distance. And am not at all that organized. Thats why I need time.
#6 Other suggestions?, ideas? Wants, Needs or Desires? Volunteers? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Any help would be appreciated, If we start talking this up now I think it will better for us as a club and the show itself.

I say all German of any kind to get attendance up.
Date will probably depend upon what Gilmore can do.

I say all german as well but also invite motorcycles, campes, tractors, etc. And make it a German Festival if possible.

OK!! YA ALL! I've been in contact with Brenda the events person at Gilmores. What do we want? I need ideas before meeting with the board possibly as soon as next week. What do you/we want, need, desire, have to have, could do without? Simple? Complex? Big? small? Easy? What? Either add your ideas here or PM me. Thanks Kenn

I have a friend that I used to work with that is a past president of the Mid Michigan Porsche club. I emailed him and he said he is sure their club would like to attend this event. I told him as we know more details, I would keep him informed.

I agree with simple and add things later. But I'd like to see tractors and campers allowed in as well.

Great idea! I finally went there last month. We really enjoyed it. When I finish my Beetle, I need a photo of it in front of their gas station.

Keep it simple. Trophies for top 20 people's choice. I say yes to anything German and, how about Corvairs? They're air cooled.
