I don't care for pricey food unless someone else pays the bill. I also don't like a greasy spoon restaurant either. I have never been to Frankenmuth so I can't make a call. Once again I am unsure if Leanne can make it because of work but I should be there.
I heard that there is this Christmas store in Frankenmuth. If I can find Bus or Beetle lights I will be happy. I need some decorations when camping next year.

Yes in town is a large large store called Bronners Christmas store. Known as one of the largest christmas stores (mall?) in the world. Im sure if they make it, it is there. Ive seen the bus and bug lights there in the past. There is lots of other shopping there as well so If anyone wants to get there shop on come early As for food there are the three I mentioned and Lots more. But I need some direction. Zehnders is good stuff and classy but ya pay for it. They have a nice buffet going on (has chicken, seafood, deserts, all you can eat) that weekend as well (you wont leave hungry). Mind you it is almost 23.00 per person for the first 20 people 27.00 after that. If we just do the regular chicken dinner (all you can eat still and lotsa sides, think thanksgiving dinner) and would be 17.00 per for the first 20 people (23.00) after that (includes drink and ice cream desert, only one scoop no toppings . Then there are the other resturants which are much cheaper but less flash. I need to know how many people are going as that effects things. So dont hold back tell me whatcha want to spend and how many (traditionally) show up and I can set up the rest. Thanks all Dan

2 from here, Steven, Jamie and Addison plan on riding with.= 4 and a third, Addy is bringing her own eats. Don't really care about which eatery but $23/ $27 per seems steep to me. Tight a$$, Kenn

Just got done reading the reviews of the Oink Joint, sounds like the name is the only good thing about it. Anybody that actually ate there didn't like it. I have heard of good things about Tony's. Beth and I always wanted to go to Zehnders. We did and it was good, but big $. Guess my vote would be:
1) Tony's 2) Zehnders 3) Oink Joint

I am going to have to vote against Zehnders. No need to spend over $20 a person.

Boy, I don't know about you guys, but the last few times I have been to Tony's, I have not been impressed, and it's not exactly inexpensive. If you like BLT's however, they do have one with one pound of bacon...
Granted, it's been over a year, but it was not anything special, and I did not notice a room we could use, but I wasn't looking. Not much of a menu, noisy, etc.
Frankenuth is pretty cool, but really only if you go to visit, shop and do touristy things. Food will be expensive for anyplace there. Tony's is really not in Frankenmuth, but actually in Birch Run, right across from the big outlet mall.
I may head up that direction in the next day or so and see if there might be better alternatives. I have to head that way to visit a client.
