Very nice, I have a few sets of flat tails but didn't care for them so I went back to stock. I'm now looking for some all red tails.

Pat that is looking hot . I showed Andy & he said he remembers the block sitting on the table @ your Apt. Do you have running board to match ? And whats up with the Nascar side vents ? Lets Go Racing Boys .

Thanks! Yup, I built the engine in my spare bedroom at the old apartment! I do have the running boards, just not on yet. The NACA ducts in the quarter windows feed cooling air to the back (front) of the shroud, through the firewall. The back of the car is cut like a baja, so there is no way to seperate the top of the enigne from the bottom. To avoid recirculating hot air, I am pulling cool air from the quarter windows, and side scoops behind the quarter windows. I painted the roll cage yesterday, just have to bolt it in now. Then seats, and 5 point harnesses. Then install door glass, windshield, and rear window (lexan).

Ok, so, it's been a few days since I updated... ;D I didn't like the way my wheels filled the fenders, I wanted to push my rear tires out and pull my fronts in. I started with swapping out my welded front spindles with a forged set. This brought the fronts in about 3/4". In doing so, my 14" front wheels rub on my lower ball joint, so, I picked up a set of 15" American Racing "LeMans" wheels from Mike Fisher (Thanks!) These also have a different offset and will pull my fronts in another 1/4", about perfect. Now, for the rear. I have "short spline" rear rotors, which reqiure a 5/8" spacer to work with IRS rear stubs. I decided to move the spacer from outside the rotor to inside. This pushes the rotor out 5/8", thus, pushing the wheel and tire out. Once I had moved the rotor, I had to make the caliper line up, I hoped it would be as simple as making a couple of 5/8" spacers and bolting them between my nodular iron caliper mounts and the caliper. No go. The e-brake cable rubbed on the mount and would not allow the caliper to move over far enough. So, I made a set of caliper mounts and welded them to the trailing arm. Now everything lines up and works as it should. I do loose a little to the different offset of the wheel, but, I picked up another 20mm on the tire, or, 10mm on each side, which ends up pushing the rear tires out about 3/4" per side. I still need to do a little work on the wheels on my polishing machine to get them up to par. I also tore my 2054 down as it was dribbling a bit. I found that I had pinched the o-ring in my Scheiffer 6lbs aluminum flywheel, which also gave me a little extra end play and allowed a bit of oil to seep. Upon opening up the engine, I found that something had made it's way through the #1 chamber, ouch! I decided rather than work on the old 40 X 35.5 "Mini D-port" heads, I would replace them with something a little nicer. So, I went with a pair of CB Performance, 044 Mini Wedge, 42 X 37.5's and a new set of P+C's. I am currently awaiting a set of steel backed main bearings, then the 2054 will be going back together. I hope to have it out again next spring.
