Glad to hear, It will help the herd by taking out excess does and improve buck popluation to boot... It's better to take young tender does then button bucks. you can't eat the antlers Again congrats. Up to a big buck contest again this year??? Later Kenn

Good for you Glen! I went deer hunting about 10 years ago in a brand new Mazda Protoge at 70 mph.
Missed the first one, got the second one...over 200 pounds according to the police and DNR. There is no hunting in East Lansing, and nothing but corn fields and no predators by 127. I honestly thought I hit a horse it was so large. Even with seat belts on, my right (and bad) knee hit the dash hard enough to crack it and take the paint right off. I was on crutches for a week and had to do rehab on my already bad neck for three months. (Racing accident.)
Glad the herd has been thinned. One less for me to get. I don't hunt, but many of my neighbors might change their anti-hunting tune if they saw how horrible it is for deer to starve to death in the winter because of a lack of food.
I'm a little spooked at night on secondary roads in the Puma. I think at speed it might be a really bad thing to hit one. The first one with a steel body and airbags was more than enough for me.

OK Kenn your on I got a 5 says my Buck will be bigger than your Buck . As far as taking out a Doe and improving Bucks I think that's Bunk , Just less reason for a Buck to stop in my back yard . I took the shot simply to have food , No job since Dec,08 .

Glen, Your on!!! Total points? And it's a proven fact less does and leaving small bucks to walk= more and bigger bucks. I've been doing select management on my farm since '76 along with food plots and fruit trees. I haven't shot anything smaller then a mature 8 point since. I have the mounts(18) and pictures to prove the notion. Last year I took two 11's and 5 does to feed the family. Later Kenn
