Saturday at Gilmore Ron Wenger (Michiana VW Grouppe) asked me if we were going to the Fort Wayne show. I was not sure nor was I very familiar with it. John Hanson also asked me about it, if I was going. Both John and Ron highly recommend this show. John felt it would be a good show to attend to get ideas on how to run the Bug Run's. I have gone to this show the past few years with John, It is a very nice show and very well ran. Unfortunately this year its the same weekend as another show VW Treffen in Chicago. I am supposed to go to that show and catch up with some friends from school.

Assuming Fort Wayne is the same time zone as us.... How about we leave from Burger King at 8am? That should put us in Ft. Wayne around 9:30 or so. -Bren |

So far it sounds like John, Kenn, Steven and myself are going. Is anyone else interested in joining us? Make sure you let someone know so we know to wait for you! As always, the more, the merrier!
Fort Wayne is on the same time zone. We are going to leave at 8am from the Burger King mentioned above.

Ok ok you talked me into it. If you drive Ruffus up Red Arrow Highway / Stadium meet me at Hardings Parking Lot at the corner of 9th and Stadium. We can head south down 9th street to catch 94. Just let me know what time to be waiting at Hardings. One small problem I am 6'-7" do you think I can fit in the back seat of Ruffuss?

A.J., I'm Steven Kenn's son, He said that if you sat side ways he is sure that you could fit or you can ride in the front.

I don't really want to take front seat privileges being the new guy. If I am the only person in the back and the top is down I could fit in the backseat. Ruffuss is a 4 door right.

Yeah, he's a 4 door, but the top down early in the morning we'll have to wear long john's. You should be just fine, there is surpizing amount of head room even with the top up and windows in.
Say 7ish at Hardings, behind Sub-way.
Like I also have said I wish I was born rich instead of so dam_ good looking.
Maybe we can pick up a front seat ride in BC. See ya Saturday about 7am, Later Kenn

Hello all, new to site, just joined today, will be goin to Ft Wayne show along with my dad, We have been VW junkies since i can remember, In the last 8 months my dad's health has taken a tumble, 2 heart attaks, and some very painful back problems, we've been goin to this show for some time, didnt think he was goin to join me this time, but to my suprize last nite he got in touch and wanted to go along,,,,,YEE HAA!! Will be drivin his 77 Westy, Its his pride and joy, nothin brings a smile to his face like a ride in his bus. Wont be showin it this time, just cruisin, hopin can get a spot to park towards front because of wheelchair,,[he might be too stubborn to use it though], also must say even though we love our VW's he wanted more power, so he has done a 3800 buick conversion,,,,VERY nice job too i might ad, so hope to say hi to any of you that might see us.
