Hey everybody! My (considerably) better half and I were out a Macy's looking for pots and pans (both of us) and dresses (for her!) and in the middle of the store, came across a later Beetle being used in a summer of love display. Too bad someone didn't ask for something like this in the photo game! Even cooler if you look at the "period" dresses...too bad they didn't have the hair! I'm not nearly good enough to tell you what the year is, put if someone could post it, I would like to know. Certainly not the best example of one, but check out the killer driving lighs... Close up of the KILLER foglamps! Dave Riedle

Could be either. I would say '73 Standard, due to the big taillights, non-shock mount bumpers, the decklid vents, chrome door handles, and the flat windshield. The black bumpers are painted over chrome, a lot of Mexi's had black bumpers and door handles, all trim for that matter, but, not OVER chrome, and they usually didn't have runs! The wheels are odd also!

Definitely a 73 Standard the bumpers/seats/taillights give it away. I have seen those wheels a few times before but do not know what they are. Pretty cool find! I wonder if there is one in all the Macy's store.
