Hey everybody. I had a great time Saturday, and still can't quite believe that I actually won something. I had to have Sherman set the WABAC machine to the '80's (really old cultural reference there www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbESbvcjMhc) on to remember if I have ever won anything with a car before, and I don't think I have. I'm pretty sure I won something at the Steamboat concourse with the SAAB, but as I recall everyone who ran did, and mine was something like "best orange car", which I don't count. Kind of cool. Great to see Bren's car win again against such tough competition, it shows how really nice it is. Also it was a very very impressive showing for the GVs, with all of the great VWs on display, taking up the entire end. There was something for every air-cooled fan to drool over. I haven't tried on the door-prize robe yet, but y'all better hope it doesn't fit, or you may see me struttin' in it at a GTG! (Cover your eyes! Hide the children!) I looked at the entry photos with the kit, and spent a little while trying to figure out who that person that drove it was, and was deeply saddened to realize it was me. Goes to prove that darkness and distance are my friends when it comes to having my picture taken. See everyone Saturday! Dave |

Dave,
Your car was very deserving of that trophy as was Bren's. I am glad you had a good time as well as everyone else. I was very impressed with the Club's showing this weekend. We need to take at least that many to every show and grow it from there.
