Ok I am getting this up early so everyone can plan on it. Its time again for our Formula K GTG. This is always a fun one and this time we are following it up with Dinner at the Copper Grill in Paw Paw. We will have a spot in the parking lot reserved to park at Formula K and a reservation for 20 spots at the restaurant. I hope we need way more! Rub'n there is no Rub'n, more like slam and spin. It is never the less a HOOT! Any one interested in making it a day, can join us at the Paw Paw Days Car Show, they fill the downtown and side streets with cars, trucks and vehicles of all sorts, If you want we'll save you a spot and cruise to Formula-K together at about noonish, just let Steve or I know before hand. CRUISE-IN to THE SIDEKICK DINER
Sunday, July 19
It's summertime and that means drive-that-VW time! The MVVC July event, currently in the works, will be a driving event meant to get the oil flowing in your vintage Volkswagen. The Sidekick Cafe Diner, located just beyond Michigan's Irish Hills region, has invited the MVVC to cruise on out and in for a day of fun and VW fellowship. The 50's/60's-themed diner offers great diner food as well as ice cream and this cruise-in makes a great way to give your VW some exercise, tour the southern Michigan countryside and hang out with other vintage VW enthusiasts.
Details are being worked out as you read this and will be issued shortly, including the time of the cruise-in, meeting location/time and route (back roads, of course) for those wishing to caravan out to the diner, and more on the diner itself. Stay tuned to your e-mail and save the date!

Hey boys and girls, kids of all ages. I need a count on how many plan on this GTG so I can give them a better idea of what there getting into. Let me know if you plan on the car show?GTG? Dinner? I have 20 spots reserved for both Formula K and the Copper Grill, do we need more or less? Also for the Car Show, so we can either meet and cruise in together or save you a spot. Later Kenn

We are planning on going 2 of us. Leanne has some how managed to have the day off. I am planning on the Paw Paw show, Formula K, and Dinner. We may need to take a break sometime to come home to walk the dog.

(near the intersection of routes M99 and M34) in Osseo, MI (near Hillsdale, just beyond Michigan's Irish Hills region), has invited the MVVC to cruise on out and in for a day of fun and VW fellowship.
The 50's/60's-themed diner offers great diner food as well as ice cream and this cruise-in makes a great way to give your VW some exercise, tour the southern Michigan countryside and hang out with other vintage VW enthusiasts. In fact, we're inviting members of other vintage VW clubs in the region to join the cruise-in, so here's a chance to check out some of other VWs and meet 'n' mingle with Volks folks from these clubs. Not only that, but the Sidekick is a favorite cruise-in spot for the locals with cool cars, so there's a good chance this event could turn out to be not only a fun VW outing but a great little all-kinds-of-car show as well!
The cruise-in at the Sidekick will start around 3:00 PM. For those wishing to caravan out to the diner from the Detroit metro area, a meeting location and time will be announced shortly, as will the route which will use essentially two-lane highways with scenic, casual driving. Think of it a summer version of the Color Tour! Stay tuned to your e-mail for this and more information.
So the Sidekick can prepare for the cruise-in, they'll need a car/person count. IF YOU WILL BE PARTICIPATING, PLEASE RSVP TO TOM SILIGATO BY E-MAIL AT events@mvvc.net OR PHONE AT 248-489-4136 (LEAVE MESSAGE IF NOT ANSWERED) BY MONDAY, JULY 13 AND INCLUDE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN YOUR PARTY.
