Hi, I'm Mike from Byron Center. I have a 64 bug I'm doing a resto/custom project on and I drive a 79 vert that I plan to do a restoration on once the 64 is finished. I was excited to find this club this past winter and hope to attend one of the GTG's in the near future. Do you have a thread about this build on the samba? I recall seeing this somewhere else. Do you take your vert to any cruise-ins around the gr area? I live on the north side of town and have been looking with no luck though. Nice build by the way, thats a big project, looks good.

Thanks Dustin and Chris. Hi Jerry, yep...I did post it a while back on the samba, I think I may have posted on the original GoodVolks webpage too. I haven't found any cruise ins in the GR area, but I hope to go to a GoodVolks GTG one of these times. What part of GR are you from? I moved to Byron Center from the Belmont area a year ago. This is the first car for me to restore from ground up, so it seems like a huge job at times. Fortunately it is all torn down now and things are starting to slowly come back together. Right now I'm learning to weld and fabricate a few sheetmetal areas along the way...got to know the angle grinder pretty well, but fortunately the welding is starting to improve. Nice VW on your Avatar...it's good to see your guys' bugs to help inspire me along the way.
