Update: The GoodVolks Spring Show and Swap Apr 26, 2009

The GoodVolks event at Sam's Club in Holland, MI will be held to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Show is open to Air-Cooled VW's and the Swap portion is for VW Air-Cooled parts (sorry, selling of primarily clothes, toys etc is not what this event is for). There will be a People's Choice trophy awarded to the Show Entrant that is voted in by the public. Note, your Grandma will have to come to get that extra vote as your wife and anyone else gets only one vote. The event runs from 11 am to 3pm with Show ballots counted at 2 pm. Space is limited, so come early, not late. Hope to see you there.

We have approval to hold an event at Sam's Club in Holland MI on the 26th of April. The event will be a charity event with donations taken in lieu of entry fees. This event is to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We have permission to use their logo on our flyers. The car show will have a people's choice trophy awarded. Spectators will have to get a form from us to vote which gives us another chance to obtain donations. The show will be from 11AM to 3PM.

We will need at least 8-10 volunteers to make this happen. Some of the tasks can be split into more jobs if we end up with a lot of volunteers. Please PM me if you are interested or post here. The list of tasks is still being made up, so names will be tied to jobs later, maybe at the event. Volunteers will be needed from about 9AM to 4PM. Hopefully we will have enough people to split this into shifts.

It is my hope to have all the details worked out in Feburary so we can have flyers available in our booth at the Buggy Builders Show in March.

Count me in as a Volunteer Rudy! I am looking forward to this. Also are we going to have a cruise afterwards? I know Ron said that was his favorite part of the old Holland Show. I liked it as well just a cruise up by the Grand Haven shoreline then end at a restaurant.

There will not be too many volunteers, just a reorganization of the work or work schedules to put everyone to work.

I think the swap spaces may be a little smaller that a pole barn, but you have to have some of it left for the US 131 events.
